How often do we panic and rack our brains
to come up with ideas for where to go and what to do to make that
all-important first date perfect? Worry no more! We have put together a list of sure-fire winning suggestions for your first date – you’re bound to find something you like here!
- A date, that very first meeting, the beginning of something new...
These words and the memories they evoke can cast a spell over us. Who
doesn’t feel excited when they think about what the future holds -
dates, romance, emotion and passion! But where should you go on a first
date? Even guys who are used to making the first move can find it hard
to answer this question. But it doesn’t matter who makes the first
suggestion. What’s really important is where you go, living up to each
other’s expectations, and making it a date to remember. Your first-date
chemistry will depend on these key ingredients: him, you, where you go
and what you do.
As funny as it may sound, going to a club for a
date might well the first idea that comes to mind for people who feel at
home in nightclubs. It’s important to pick a club that suits both of
you. Find a club where you both feel comfortable, with the right mood,
setting, crowd and of course, the right music! Trust me: if you share
the same taste in music, the odds that you’ll get closer to each other
are much higher, and you’ll spend longer together too. The most
important thing is to avoid clubs where other girls will be trying to
steal your date all night. Another advantage of going to a club is that
you can dance together. When you’re dancing, your feelings will be
immediately obvious to you both.
Or instead of a going to a club (or
after a club), you could try karaoke. Whether you can sing well or not,
what matters is your confidence and attitude. People in karaoke bars
are generally more open and sincere. Sometimes you can discover more
about a person from the songs they choose than from a two-hour
conversation. The most important thing is to be natural, and don’t be
afraid to sing! If you really don’t want to sing, just refuse
graciously. Trust me, no one will be offended if you don’t want to, as
there are always plenty of willing singers!
Weather-permitting, a
boat trip can be great for a first date. Walking through the waves at
noon or sunset creates a very special atmosphere. Just make sure you
dress warmly: the water will be colder than it is on the shore. On the
other hand, your date can always offer you his jacket and heat things
up, literally and figuratively speaking!
A café or restaurant is
the most popular place for a first date. Try to be democratic and choose
a place with prices that suit you both! Your date is sure to have some
interesting suggestions. But you should also feel free to set the tone
and suggest places where you would feel comfortable. Most importantly,
don’t be afraid to experiment: oysters, lobster, steak, even snails!
Think about your mood – if you’re feeling a bit adventurous, try
somewhere new or a place with a twist. If you want a more relaxed
atmosphere, it’s better to go somewhere you’ve been before. Try
somewhere your date hasn’t been before, and see how he reacts.
Country estates are perfect for dates in summer or winter. You can
combine a walk in the fresh air with learning more about historical
heritage of your area. Shake things up, and alternate the activities as
you prefer. It’s best to go somewhere neither of you have visited
before. But if you would like to visit your favourite place in your city (or
out of town) – So go for it!
